Terri Ann (Marshall) Gard, 64, of Lubeck, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born November 6, 1954, in Parkersburg, a daughter of Robert Marshall of Davisville, WV and the late Alma Day Hadfield. Terri was a 1973 graduate of Parkersburg High School, worked several years at Southside Kroger and after fifteen years was retired from Wood County Schools as an Autism Mentor. Terri devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, volunteering but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and family. Terri was a member of the Washington United Methodist Church and attended Lubeck Community Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of forty five years, Timothy H. Gard; two sons, Austin Gard (Holly) of Fulshear, TX and Lance Gard (Aliya) of Cary, NC; one daughter, Sierra Gard of Parkersburg; sister, Brenda Marshall of Parkersburg; brother, Mike Marshall (Darlene) of Belpre; seven grandchildren, Ashlyn Gard, Chloe Gard, Xander Gard, Pierson Gard, Canon Metz, Simon Gard and Savannah Metz; brothers in-law and sister in-law, Jim Gard (Debbie) of Mineral Wells, Ben Gard of Parkersburg, Nancy McGehee (Jim) of Blacksburg, VA and Scott Gard (Holly) of Elkin, NC; numerous nieces and nephews; and her group of friends, the “Lunch Bunch”. In addition to her mother, Terri was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Bradshaw; and her father and mother in-law, Jerry and Juanita Gard. Funeral services will be held at 11 am. on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Mark Houser officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
