Tamie Leigh Hart Schrader

Tamie Leigh Hart Schrader, 50 of Vienna, WV gained her angel wings at home on Friday, March 22, 2024, after a 14-year long battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Tamie was born May 27, 1973, in Brooksville, FL, a daughter of Richard Hart (Karen) and Leigh Linger (Roger).

In addition to being a loving mother to her sons, Justin and Jake, and her grandsons, Zayden and Jaxtin, Tamie also served as manager for several years at the Marietta Memorial Pulmonary Department.

Tamie was a graduate of Marietta Christian High School and she proudly served her country in the United States Army as an E-4 Specialist in Flight Ops.  She was also a member of the Ladies’ Oriental Shrine of North America, and she was supportive of and supported by the Eastern Star Chapter No. 14 of Vienna.

In her spare time, Tamie enjoyed watching her sons playing sports, traveling to the beach, and volunteering as a dog walker at the Humane Society of both the Mid-Ohio Valley and the Parkersburg Humane Society.  Tamie was a talented chef known for her homemade jams and sauces. She also loved playing cards with her “gal-pals”.

In addition to her parents, Tamie is survived by her sons, Justin and Jake, and her two grandsons, Zayden and Jaxtin. She is also survived by a loving brother, Craig Hart (Avie); and three nephews, Tristan, Mario, and Toby.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Andy Joe and Pauline Hackney and Donal and Doris Hart.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Housecalls Hospice and Strecker Cancer Center for their compassionate care.
