T. Irene Shepard

T. Irene Shepard, 83, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away on Dec. 24, 2015 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born January 21, 1932, in Wirt County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Friend A. and Lillie M. Hague Honaker. Irene was a homemaker. She loved animals especially cats. She enjoyed cross stitching and embroidery. She is survived by two sons, Robert E. (Debbie) Daugherty of Rockport, W.Va. and Butch (Birdie) Shepard of Parkersburg; two daughters, Kathy L. (Mark) Shea of Elizabeth, W.Va. and Sherry S. (Tom) Slusser of Kansas; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Harold W. Shepard; one infant daughter, Elaine; one son, Neil; one sister; and two brothers. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., South Parkersburg. Interment will be at Evergreen North Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society.
