Sylvia Josephine Eneix Stephan, 94 of Parkersburg passed away Dec. 15, 2015 at Worthington Nursing Facility. She was born April 10, 1921 at Tariff, Roane County, W.Va., the youngest daughter of the late John Pearl and Mary Etta Twyman Eneix. She attended school in Wirt and Wood counties and lived most of her life in Parkersburg. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Frank P. Stephan in 2004. They owned and operated the Sunset Restaurant, the Avenue Carry Out and Stephan Optical Company. She also worked at Yielky's, Premier Photo Service and Roach Inc. She lived for and devoted her life to her two children, Robert G. Postlewaite and Judith Radcliff, both of Parkersburg. She was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church and the Gospel Light Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Country Roads CEOS Club and served as the Wood County Belle in 2005. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, her dogs, garage sales and raising flowers. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Delmar Eneix in 1909 and Sidney Carl Eneix in 1919; four sisters, Hazel Rice in 1994, Goldia Mason in 1998, Minnie Wigal in 2002 and Stella Moore in 1995; her son-in-law, James Radcliff in 2013; and grandson, Hayward Radcliff in 2015. Surviving are her son and his wife, Robert and Yvonne Postlewaite of Parkersburg; her daughter, Judith Radcliff of Parkersburg; five grandsons, Robert Postlewaite, Jr., Michael Postlewaite, David Postlewaite, Kevin Bradshaw, Greg Bradshaw and wife, Crystal; ten great-grandchildren, Ali Postlewaite, Robert Postlewaite, III, Samantha Postlewaite, Madison Postlewaite, Chancellor Postlewaite, Lincoln Postlewaite, Owen Postlewaite, William Bryan, Gabrielle Bradshaw and Ryan Rader; one great great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, WV with Pastor Bryan Knight officiating. Burial will follow at Freeport Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
