Sylvia J. Mcclaskey

Sylvia J. McClaskey, 86, of Parkersburg, formerly of Ritchie County, WV, departed this life on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at The Willows Center. She was born January 10, 1933 in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late John E. and Hazel L. Davis Fridley. She was Baptist by faith. Sylvia loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and music. She is survived by her five daughters, Patricia Locke (Robert), Sharon Hall (Paul), Nancy Beall (Rick), Sandra Kaufman (Steve) and Lori Sprouse (David); grandchildren, Melissa Collins (Kevin), Lisa Elliott (Joe), Janet Moyers (Rusty), Michael Hall (Connie), Ryan Perkins, Stevie Kaufman (Jason Prochnow); two step-grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; five great- great- grandchildren; and special friends, Vesta Owens, Sandy Bryan and Nancy Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard L. McClaskey and her brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St., Parkersburg with Pastor Paul White officiating. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Cairo, WV. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank all who cared for Sylvia. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. We will always carry her memory in our hearts.
