Susie Pearl Tanner

Susie Pearl Tanner, 91, of Marietta, OH, formerly of Parkersburg, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Marietta Center. She was born January 27, 1927, in Braxton County, WV, a daughter of the late Worthy and Letha Nichols Perkins. Susie was a homemaker and enjoyed watching golf. She loved her dog, “Daisy” and her grandkids. Susie was a United Methodist Church by faith. She is survived by her son, Donald Tanner (Vicki) of Belpre, OH; one sister, Mary Daugherty of Elizabeth; four grandchildren, Joshua (Carla), Tony (Lisa) Nathan and Scott (Abby); 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Tanner; four brothers, Paul, Orville, Jerry and Denver; and three sisters, Ruth, Vera and Avis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Donald Tanner officiating. Burial will follow at the K of P cemetery in Elizabeth, WV. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.
