Steven G. Boswell

Steven G. Boswell, 49 of Belpre, Ohio, was greeted into our heavenly fathers’ arms November 16, 2016, at his residence. He was born August 14, 1967 to loving parents Ralph and Brenda Boswell of Little Hocking, Ohio. Steve was a devoted, tender hearted husband to Kathrine Boswell and a caring and proud father to Blake Boswell of the home/Davis & Elkins College. Steve was delighted to get to know Blake’s special friend Vanessa Anderson. Steve earned a Bachelor Degree from Ohio University in graphic art and design. His career took him many places as creative director: Marietta Times, Ohio, Parkersburg News, WV, Hutchinson News, KS, Roanoke Times, Virginia, books and magazines. Steve served in the Van Ministry at Fellowship Baptist Church of Vienna, WV and sat on the Washington Bottom Community Association as Vice President. Steve was an avid gardener and landscaper and loved to shop. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, Jeff (Lara) Boswell of Vincent, Ohio and Brian (Jennai) Boswell of Monaca, PA; mother-in-law May Stanley; brother-in-law Keith (Missy) Riel; and several nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by an infant daughter Isabella May Boswell; maternal grandparents Gilbert and Genevieve Derby Schneider; paternal grandparents Ralph G. Boswell Sr. and Eileen R. Longfellow Boswell. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio, with pastor Jon Lands presiding. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg, WV. Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, November 18, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church of Vienna, WV. Envelopes will be provided.
