Stella F. Leach, 85, of Parkersburg, passed away December 11 at Marietta Care and Rehab. She was born April 17, 1933 in Gay, WV, daughter of the late Ernie and Etta Mae Parsons. Stella was a nurse and had worked for the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department, several nursing homes in Parkersburg and did private duty nursing. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and taking care of others. She is survived by her sons, James C. Leach (Gail) of Veto, Ohio and Robert M. Leach (Anita) of Parkersburg; daughters, Ann E. Leach of Morgantown and Lynn M. Leach of Parkersburg; eleven grandchildren and six great-granddaughters. In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Leach in 1966. Grandsons, Robert Harry and Nicholas Harrison Leach; brothers, Floyd, Wilbert, Herman, Cyrus and Delbert Parsons; sisters, Goldie Rhodes, Gracie Parsons, Elva Stewart, Audra Kiger and Norma Allen. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Brady Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff at Marietta Care and Rehab, Homestead Unit and Amedysis staff for caring for our mother.
