Shirley V. Scott

Shirley V. Scott, 76, of Vienna, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at her residence. She was born September 5, 1941, in Brownton, WV, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Lucy Hunt Edmond. Shirley was a 1959 graduate of Tyler County High School and a 1962 graduate of St. Joe Nursing School. After graduation she continued working with St. Joe Hospital and continued her career with the American Red Cross where she retired in 1998. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald E. Scott; two sons, Steven Brian Scott (Sherie) of Barboursville, WV and David Alan Scott (Tammy) of Parkersburg; two sisters, Janice Glover of Baltimore, MD and Caron June Brown (Charles) of Hayesville, NC; three grandchildren, Kara Marie Scott, Nicole Elizabeth Scott and Landis Noel Scott. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her three brothers, Harry, Robert and Frankie Edmond; and three sisters, Juanita Mealey, Francis Shingleton and Joyce Edmond. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Cairo Cemetery in Ritchie County, WV with Pastor Carlos Nutter officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
