Shirley Janette Henthorn

February 7, 1956 — August 2, 2024

Janette Henthorn, 68 of Parkersburg, WV passed away Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
She was born February 7, 1956 to the late Kenneth and Violet Gregg. Along with her parents, Janette was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Ashley Tai Henthorn on January 31, 2016; an infant sister, Donita Jane Gregg and her fur baby, Ivy Anne.
Janette retired from Corning/Schott Glass after 29 years of service. She loved to travel which included the Smokey Mountains, Myrtle Beach and the Amish Country, going to antique stores and flea markets. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, family events and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of The Bible Baptist Church.
Janette is survived by her husband of 51 years, Donald R. “Don” Henthorn; her son, Jason Henthorn (Amy Wright) of Parkersburg; one sister, Cyndi Allen of Parkersburg; four brothers, Mark Gregg, Kenny Gregg (Sarah), both of Parkersburg, Scott Gregg of Tenn. and Shawn Gregg (Marci) of Parkersburg; the greatest loves of her life, her grandchildren, Austin Martin, Ava Henthorn, Logan Henthorn, Bryce Henthorn, Terrance Wright and Quinton Wright and several special aunts and uncles. She also leaves behind her three fur babies Claire Rose, Jada Jay and Cee Cee Cate.
There will be no services or viewing, as her wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with her daughter.
