Shirley M. Hendricks

Shirley M. Hendricks 88 of Parkersburg, WV passed away peacefully Monday, October 27, 2025 at the Willows Center surrounded by her loving children.

She was born September 17, 1937 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Theodore Okey Hendricks and Frances Golden Flowers. Shirley was a caring and dedicated nurse and worked at various nursing homes in the area having retired at the age of 79 from Parkersburg Care Center. She enjoyed cooking for her family, caring for others and spending time with family and friends.

Shirley is survived by her three children, Lisa N. Wood (Chris) of Marietta, OH, Teresa L. Hill (Larry Fowler) of Washington, WV and Michael R. Hendricks of Vienna, WV; grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Jordan, Jeffrey and Jacob Knotts, Alexander Hill, Madison Sandoro and Olivia Hendricks and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her long-time companion, Miles E. Boone; sisters, Betty McPherson, Barbara “Boots” Thompson and brother, Okey Hendricks.

There will be a private family service at a later date.

The family would like to thank The Willows Center for all the wonderful care and love given to Shirley.
