Sheryl Ann Smith

Sheryl Ann Smith, 77, of Vienna, WV, passed away peacefully, September 23, 2026, at Worthington Healthcare Center.

Daughter of the late Patricia Ann and Donald James Sheppard Sr., Sheryl was born on July 4, 1949, in Zanesville, Ohio.

Sheryl graduated from high school, went on to marry the late Phillip Rolland Smith Sr., where they shared 41 years of marriage before his passing. She was a dedicated waitress, known for her warm smile and kind heart. Her passion for crafting and cooking brought joy to many, and she found immense happiness in babysitting and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Sheryl was preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Sue Shank; and daughter-in-law, Angela Smith.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Phillip Rolland Smith Jr. (Denise), James Edward Charles Smith (Angie), Michael "Mickie" Smith (Rita), and Crystal Meeks (Byron); granddaughter, Cassandra "Cassie" Smith, whom Sheryl raised; brother, Donald James Smith Jr. (Karen); ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Sheryl's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.

A private cremation will be held in accordance with Sheryl's wishes. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home in Vienna is honored to serve the Smith family.
