Shelia Darleen Hinton

Shelia Darleen Hinton, 77, of Mineral Wells, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family June 19, 2025 at her residence. She was born November 30, 1947 in Parkersburg, a daughter to the late William DeMoss Jr. and Iris Genevieve Evans Wright.

Shelia worked at the Point of View Restaurant and was a long-time owner of Phil’s Diner. She always put her family first, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her smile was the first thing you would notice when you met her.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 35 years, Phil Hinton; sons, Michael and Scott Harpold; a brother, Stephen DeMoss; sister, Sharon Hissam; her grandchildren, Matthew Harpold, Jaclyn Harpold, Andrew Harpold (Lauren), and Shelby Harpold; a very special friend, Carolyn Koontz; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., South Parkersburg with Pastor Chris Duckworth officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
