Crites, 54, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.She was born January 25, 1956, in Webster County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Ulon and Emma �Peggy� Crites.Shelby was a loving mother and found joy in all those around her. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary as well as the Veterans of Foreign War Ladies Auxiliary.She is survived by her life-long companion, Bill Matheny; one daughter Anna Matheny, of Parkersburg; two brothers, Carl �Chick� (Donna) Crites of Mineral Wells, and Blaine Crites of Parkersburg; six sisters, Martha (Jack) Buckley of Vienna, Cheryl (Tom) Stone of Kentucky, Pam (Bob) Lovell of Parkersburg, Garnet (Richard) Leone of Maryland, Edith (Bob) Forshey of Parkersburg and Ula (Rick) Starcher of Washington, W.Va.; as well as many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Crites.Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg, with Rev. Keith Hostutler officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mineral Wells. Visitation will be from 2:00 � 4:00 and 6:00 � 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
