Sheila Pearl Peters, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the age of 75. Born in Waverly, West Virginia, Sheila brought joy and warmth into the lives of her family and community.

A 1969 graduate of Parkersburg High School, Sheila dedicated her life as a homemaker, creating a loving environment for her family. Known for her vibrant spirit and boundless energy, Sheila was always on the go, often lovingly fulfilling her role as the family chauffeur.

Sheila cherished her time with family and grandchildren, and she loved gathering everyone for outings and meals at her favorite restaurants. She was a regular at the bingo games at the nursing home. Her passion for music was evident in her skillful piano playing, a talent that often brought the family together in joyous harmony.

Preceded in death by her devoted husband of 58 years, Robert "Bob" J. Peters, and her parents, Wilbur and Inez Mahoney Gates, Sheila is now reunited with her brother, David Mahoney.

Sheila leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter through her surviving family: her adored daughters, Angela Peters (Ernie), Teresa A. Peters (Dennis), and Cynthia D. Brown (Jeff); cherished sons, Michael J. Peters and Joshua R. Peters (Jessica). Her memory will be forever treasured by her five children, twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
