Sheila Kay Guthrie

Sheila Kay Guthrie, 65, of Roanoke, VA, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born September 26, 1952, in Marietta, OH, a daughter of the late Dale and Delphia Collins Hammer. Sheila graduated from Parkersburg South High School. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters, Heather Guthrie and her partner, Phil Lamp of St. Mary’s and Jessica (Joseph) Forness of Thomasville, NC; son, Jason Guthrie (Susan) of Elizabeth, WV; two sisters, Lou (Jim) McVay of Catawba, VA and Christy Miller of Athens, OH; grandchildren, Stephen, Hailey, Kellie Guthrie, Lillyana Marie Davis, Ava Ruth Davis, Elijah Forness, and one on the way; great-grandchildren, Elainah Guthrie, Isabelle Guthrie and one on the way. In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Elora Guthrie; grandson, Ryan Guthrie; and two sisters, Sue Jenkins and Sandra Holiday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
