A Memorial Video to Shawn is now available.Shawn Michael Wilfong 45, of Mineral Wells, W.Va. passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015.He was born in Marion County, W.Va., a son of Michael Duane Wilfong of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Mary Ellen Hall of Mineral Wells. Shawn was a 1987 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was employed with MonPower/FirstEnergy Company for over 22 years. Shawn enjoyed playing and collecting guitars, cooking, hunting, fishing, golfing, boating, snowboarding, and traveling.Shawn is survived by his father, Michael Duane Wilfong; his mother and step-father, Mary E. and Herman Hall; his son, Dakota Wilfong (Hannah Life) of Mineral Wells; his daughter, Amanda London (Zack Ward) and their child, Anna Ward of Greenwich, NY; his beloved special friend for 30 years, Lora Suek Stavrakis of Vienna, W.Va.; step-children, Andrew Moore of Charleston, W.Va.; Caitlyn Hart and Tyler Baxter both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three siblings, Cassie Wilfong of Whitehall, W.Va., Jeremiah Wilfong (Heather) of West Minister, Maryland, and Jennifer Kemp (Brett) of Canton, Ohio; his grandmother, Ellen Ford of Farmington, W.Va.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.Shawn was preceded in death by his brother, Josh Wilfong; maternal grandfather, Francis M. Ford; and paternal grandparents, Shirley and Rema Wilfong.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Teddy Tackett and Pastor Roger Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen South Cemetery with full military rites by the American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
