Sharon Jo Parsons Hannah

Sharon Jo Parsons Hannah, 56, of Mineral Wells, W.Va. passed away on Friday, June 5, 2015, at home.She was born May 21, 1959, to Beatrice George Parsons and the late Bernard L. Parsons. She graduated from Parkersburg South High School in 1977 and Cosmetology School in 1978. She worked 35 years as a hairdresser at Merchant of Venus, Hair Saloon and JT & Associates.Sharon was a wonderful and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her family and friends, camping in the mountains, playing cards, tending her flowers, enjoying the sunshine by the side of a pool and shopping. Her laughter and love for family and friends was contagious. She could light up a room and make everyone smile with her sense of humor.Sharon wanted Dr. Cawley and all her staff to know how much she appreciated their loving kindness and care over the past five years.In addition to her mother, Bea, Sharon is survived by her husband of almost 37 years, John Hannah; sons, Justin Hannah (Chandra) and Jay Hannah; grandchildren, Makayla and Johnny; sisters, Susan Yeager (Chris), and Cindy Lang (Kevin) of Parkersburg, Missy Parsons of Mineral Wells, Sandy Greathouse (Jack) of Lancaster, OH; brother, Bernie Parsons (Karen) of Charlotte, NC; and several nieces and nephews and extended family.She is preceded in death by her father, Bernard L. Parsons.The Funeral Service will be held at the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 6:00 and the service at 7:00. Pastor Kevin Lantz and Pastor Mark Houser will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sharon's memory to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and Lubeck Community Baptist Church.
