Sharon Kay Dye, 70, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away on April 13, 2015 at Genesis of Parkersburg.She was born April 14, 1944, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lawrence A. Abels and Maxine Walker Abels Rothgeb.Sharon was retired from Nashua Photo with over 30 years of service then later worked as a cook for the Wood County Schools. She was a member of VFW Post 1212 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles where she served as Secretary for two years, was a member of the Ben Bey Grotto Ladies Auxiliary and was a Methodist by faith.She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Neal Rodney Dye; one daughter, Shari McDermontt of Belpre, Ohio; one son, Mark Parsons of Belpre; five step-sons, Chuck, Dave, Neal Rodney II, Brion and Tim Dye; one sister, Barb of Oklahoma; and several grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Jim Lynch officiating. Interment will follow at Rockland Cemetery in Belpre. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
