Sarah Imogene “Jeannie” Hardin, 90, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on January 18, 2013 at the WV Masonic Home.She was born August 25, 1922, in West Union, W.Va., a daughter of the late Okey E. and Irma E. Hendershot Doak.Jeannie was a homemaker and enjoyed baking. She was a loving and devoted wife who stood by her husband during his years of ministry, a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed nothing more than having her family around her. She was a devout Christian and a very giving person. Anyone whoever met Jeannie never forgot her. She was a member of the Stout United Methodist Church and the Stout Memorial Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.She is survived by her husband, Rev. Wilbur R. Hardin; two daughters, Sandra K. (Kendall) Hardin-Busch of Washington, W.Va. and Mary Ann (George) Hardin-Moberg of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two sons, Gary L. (Jo Ann) Hardin of Davisville, W.Va. and James Edward (Patricia) Hardin of Athens, W.Va.; ten grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Fred, Ralph, Larry and Howard; and four sisters, Ida, Marie, Lonabell and AlmaFuneral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at Stout United Methodist Church, Broad St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with the Rev. Paul Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery.Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.The family expresses their appreciation to the WV Masonic Home for their loving care.
