Sabrina Sue White, 48, passed away early Saturday morning, February 18, 2017 at her home in Parkersburg. She was born Nov. 15, 1968 in Parkersburg. A loving wife and mother, Sabrina is survived by her husband, Mark White, and her two children, Madison and Mackenzie. Sabrina is also survived by her mother, Phyllis Stoops, and an uncle, Jimmy Stoops, who was more like a brother. Sabrina was a 1987 graduate of Parkersburg South High School, where she was a member of the flag corps. Sabrina continued her education at Marshall University where she received her degree in Education. Sabrina also received her master’s degree from Marshall University and became a reading resource specialist for the Wood County Board of Education, where she devoted 20 years of her life to living out her childhood dream of becoming a teacher. In her free time, Sabrina loved to read, kayak, travel and watch movies, but more than anything she loved being a wife and a mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and made it a point to take a family trip at least once a year as her children grew older and her sense of wanderlust only greatened. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the local Humane Society. Sabrina loved her dog, Lucy, and cat, Mocha, and was very passionate about helping animals in need. She will be deeply missed by not only her two children, husband, mother, and the rest of her family, but by those who called Sabrina a friend. Her memory will live on in all those who knew her and all the lives she touched in her 20 years of teaching. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Mark Lowe officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
