Ruth Diana Weekly

Ruth “Diana” Weekly age 72 of Parkersburg passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the Camden Clark Medical Center.

She was born February 11, 1953 in Hancock County, Weirton, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Bailey and Ruth N. Smearman. Diana was a CNA and was retired after many years of service in home healthcare. She enjoyed the beach; loved her animals and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Diana is survived by her children, Bobbi Cockerham (Jason) of Belpre, OH, Jamie Smith (Amy) of Beavercreek, OH and bonus daughter, Tara Smith of Marietta, OH; two brothers, Charles “Rich” Bailey (Donna) of Weirton and Dana Smearman (Mary Beth) of Beaufort, SC; and her grandchildren, Robbie Shawver (Taylor), Taylor Smith, Reece Smith and Jaci Cockerham.

In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her step-father, Ed Smearman and her husband, Alan Weekly.

Per Diana’s wishes there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society in Diana’s memory.
