Ruth Fluharty Knight

Ruth Fluharty Knight, 90, of Mineral Wells, left her family on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born March 18, 1927, in Calhoun County, WV, a daughter of the late Coy C. and Louisa B. Bailey Price. Ruth was a seamstress at Cox's Department Store and a Sales Clerk for Heck's Department Store. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She was also a past member of Pine Grove Baptist Church of Waverly, WV. She is survived by her four children, Pam (Gene) Cooper of Mineral Wells, Randy (Donna) Fluharty of Parkersburg, Diane (Jerry) Bennett of Lowell, Ohio, and Rod (Kay) Fluharty of Washington, WV; a step-daughter, Joan (Ralph) Campbell of Fairmont, WV; one brother, Donzel (Beverly) Price of Alliance, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Richard Sneigle, Missy Ross, Jeremy Bennett, Julie Robinson, Joseph Fluharty, Nathan Fluharty and Brett Fluharty; eight step-grandchildren, Jacob, Jaimie, Jesse, Christopher, Aaron, Happy, Phillip and Amanda; 15 great-grandchildren and 14 step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband, Alva Olin Fluharty; second husband, Cecil W. Spencer; third husband, O.C. “Rusty” Knight; six brothers; one sister; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg, with Pastor Randy Dornon officiating. Interment will follow at Fluharty Cemetery, Big Springs, WV. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Try the new Yahoo Mail
