Ruby Ellen Clevenger
November 12, 1929 — September 16, 2024
She previously resided in Davisville and Waverly, WV, now living in Clarksburg with her daughter and longtime caretaker.
Ruby was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing and making quilts. She also worked beside her husband building houses. She enjoyed playing dominos and the Smart Game (Scrabble) with her daughters and granddaughters.
Ruby was married to Seth Clevenger in 1948, Seth preceded her in death in 2010, after 61 years of marriage. Also preceded in death by siblings, Charles, Kenneth, Glenn, Grace, Elva, Thelma, Lucille, Audra, Helen, Atha and Carrie.
Ruby is survived by her five children, Pamela Lee of Virginia, Janet Niles of Texas, Roger and Larry Clevenger both of Ohio and Kathy Ferguson (Jerry) of Clarksburg; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and two brothers, Cecil and Arthur.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St, Parkersburg. Interment will follow at the Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday and 9:00 am- 12:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
