Ruby May Clegg, 83, of Parkersburg, passed away on August 17, 2025 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born March 6, 1942 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Oliver Bell Sr. and Irene and Paul Curran.
Ruby was a homemaker who enjoyed being at home tending to her children. She enjoyed spending time being a caregiver to the elderly. She attended the Pentecostal Church and enjoyed fishing and sewing.
She leaves behind her children, Billy (Melissa Campbell), Timmy, and Michael (Jody) Clegg as well as Patricia (Chester) Mowery and Cheryl (Steve Eagle) Tennant; grandchildren, Jason (Carrie) Mowery, Angela (Chester) Roney, Matthew (Tabitha) Mowery, Andrew (Jennifer) Somervill, Rachel (Nicoli) White, Miracle Clegg, Kristie (Justin) Carter, and Hannah Clegg; great-grandchildren, Zachary Mowery, Hannah (Adam) Ferrini, Elora Mowery, Amelia (Sage) Shipp, Alyssa Mowery, Brayden Somervill, Sean White, Sophia Mowery, Wyatt White, Braxton Somervill, Nathanial Mowery, Lexie Anderson, Willow Perrine, Charlotte Carter, Owen Somervill and Willow Mowery; step- great-grandchildren, Kayla, Alana, Nate, and Joel Rodriguez; great-great grandchildren, Grayson Rodriguez, Javi Lemus and Ash Shipp; and siblings, Ruth Bell, Nancy Doane, Patty Wilson, and David Bell.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Clegg; ex-husband, Billy Clegg Sr. and siblings, Jack Moore, Oliver Bell Jr., Esther Lemley, and Francis Whealdon.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., August 22, 2025 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. South Parkersburg with Pastor David Adams officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
