Roy William Hornbeck

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roy William Hornbeck, a beloved father, brother, and friend, who left us on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the age of 52. Roy was born on Tuesday, May 22, 1973, in Parkersburg, WV. He remained a cherished resident of his hometown throughout his entire life.

Roy was a graduate of Athens High School and cultivated a passion for motorcycles that he carried throughout his life. His enthusiasm for the open road was unmatched, reflecting his free spirit and love for adventure.

Roy is survived by his two adored daughters, Brooklyn and Emma Hornbeck of Parkersburg, and his cherished son, Tyler Yocum of Parkersburg. He also leaves behind his mother, Mary Acors Hornbeck; loving sister, Terri Underwood, devoted brother, Ronald Hornbeck, Jr., and several beloved nieces and nephews who will always remember him with fondness and love.

He joins his father, Ronald Hornbeck, his brother, Mike Ramney, great-niece, Georgia Underwood, and his grandparents, who have preceded him in death. They are now reunited once again.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced by the family. Although his presence will be deeply missed, Roy will be eternally remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg, has been entrusted with Roy’s final services and are honored to serve his family.

His spirit will continue to ride with the wind, inspiring all those who loved him to cherish every moment.
