Rosie Katherine Hammond

Rosie Katherine Hammond, 84, of Torch, Ohio, passed away on Feb. 23, 2015 at Camden Clark Medical Center.She was born Nov. 15, 1930, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Fred and Clara M. Leasure Mayle.Rosie was a Resident Property Manager for over 23 years and attended 10th Ave. Church of God in Vienna, W.Va. She enjoyed auctions and animals.She is survived by her daughter, Tammy H. Jarrell of Atlanta, Ga.; son, Francis Kenneth Hammond Jr. (Laura) of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren, Molly Mason, Mandi Moragne, and P.J. Jarrell; seven great-grandchildren; and a friend and caregiver of 20 years, Charley Brown Haverty.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis K. Hammond; and two brothers, Fred and Argyle Mayle.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Wesley Vernatter officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Atlanta, Ga. at the convenience of the family.
