Rosemary Frye Sheppard

August 13, 1936 — August 22, 2024

Rosemary Frye Sheppard, the last of the Frye girls, passed away peacefully on August 22nd, 2024, after a long battle with Congestive Heart Failure.

Rosemary was born on August 13th, 1936, in Parkersburg, WV. She was preceded in death by her mother Buelah Fanelle Morris, her stepfather Albert Morris, her grandfather James W. Windland, who was a father-figure to her growing up, her wonderful Frye sisters, Carol, Barbara, Patricia, Charlotte, and Jackie, her daughter Kimberly Sheppard, and her husband, Donald Sheppard.

She is survived in death by her sons Mark Steven Sheppard (Mary Catherine, Charlotte, NC), Jay Michael (Nikola, Nottingham, UK), her grandchildren, Maddisson Elizabeth and Michael Jay. She is also survived in death by her many beloved nieces and nephews. Special acknowledgement to Pam and Greg Lauderman, who were very near and dear to her heart.

Rosemary proudly worked for the city of Vienna, WV. She served her community at the Vienna Police Department and Fire Department, as a dispatcher and secretary. She loved decorating her home, working in her yard, and cuddling her precious great grand pups, Waldo (Walter) and Stoanie.

We want to give special thanks to her former neighbors, Rhonda and Jeff Harper, who became family to us all. Additionally, we want to recognize her nursing staff at Camden Clark Medical Center, especially Amanda. There will never be words to express how your next-level care touched our family in these extremely trying times.

Per Rosemary’s request, there will not be a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please donate in her name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a program that Rosemary supported throughout her life.

Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna, is honored to serve the Sheppard family.
