Rosella Virginia Hopkins

Rosella Virginia Hashman Hopkins, 84, of Veto Lake Ohio departed this life on May 9, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Rosie was a member of the Belpre Church of Christ. Rosella “Rosie” was born December 22, 1932, a daughter of the late George and Florence Cunningham Hashman of St. Marys, WV. Rosie spent many years working at Libby Owens Ford before graduating from Athens Beauty School. Rosie owned the Lady Aire Beauty Shop before opening Rose's Beauty Shop in Veto Lake where she worked for 49 years. Rosie's career was a “work of heart.” Her clientele were also great friends. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Belpre, is assisting the family with arrangements Rosie is survived by a sister, Mabel Cronin, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Samuel Hopkins; sisters, Zelma Bowie and Dorothy Hashman; and brothers, Raymond, Jacob and George Hashman. Rosie's body was donated to the WVU School of Medicine. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
