Roscoe W. Calhoun, 93, of Elkins, W.Va. formerly of Parkersburg and New Haven, W.Va., passed away on August 7, 2016 at Colonial Place Assisted Living in Elkins. He was born January 19, 1923, in Clinchfield, VA a son of the late Stokes and Mary Franklin Calhoun. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in WWII. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum after thirty years of service and was a member of Edgelawn United Methodist Church. Roscoe is survived by his two sons, William Calhoun (Becky) of Elkins, and David Calhoun (Mary Lou) of Davisville, W.Va.; his four grandchildren, Sarah Jacobs (Kevin) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Emily Calhoun of Germantown, MD, Dave Calhoun of Bridgeport, OH and Ryan Calhoun of Gahanna, OH; one sister, Shirley Kedrick (Ron) of Minden, LA; one brother, James “JR” Calhoun of Beckley, W.Va. ; brother in-law, Bill and Dicy Tolbert of Millwood, W.Va. and a sister in-law, Lorene Tolbert of Lewisburg, WV. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ola L. Tolbert Calhoun; and his three sisters, Geneva Sinclair, Christine Elmo and Ruth Gray. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg with Pastor Danny McVey officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
