It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Shawn Roush, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Born on March 11, 1986, in Parkersburg, WV, Ronald spent his life dedicated to his family and community, residing in Mineral Wells, WV.
Ronald passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the age of 40. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Ashley Roush, and their cherished son, Shawn Roush. He is also survived by his parents, Ronald and Shawna Roush, his sister Glenda Broyles, his in-law’s, Steve and Shiela Valentine, as well as his nieces, Hannah Francisco, Fayth Francisco, Isabella Roush, and Braylynn Roush, and his nephew, Greyson Butcher, and one great-niece, Oaklynn Martin.
He graduated from Parkersburg High School in 2004 and went on to build a career as a dedicated delivery driver, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and community members. Known for his warm smile and friendly demeanor, Ronald was a constant source of light in the lives of those around him.
A man of many passions, Ronald spent his free time fishing, camping, and four-wheeling, and he found joy in walking his dogs and spending quality time with his family. He was a devoted attendee of Hope Freewill Baptist Church, where he formed lasting friendships and ties that extended into the broader community.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ronald’s life at a funeral service on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, located on Pike St., South Parkersburg. A visitation will precede the service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery.
As Ronald reunites with his grandparents in eternal rest, he leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know him. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find solace in the joyous memories Ronald has left us and the knowledge that he is at peace. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever. Ronald will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
