Ronald G. "Ron" Roberts

Ronald G. “Ron” Roberts, 66, of Davisville, WV, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at his residence. He was born May 23, 1951, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Frank and Bernice Miller Roberts. Ron was a 1971 graduate of Parkersburg South High School. He had previously worked at the Wood County Sheriff’s Department and he was a private investigator for several years. Ron was previously a pastor. He retired from Woodcraft Supply where he worked in the sharpening shop department. Ron attended Southside Southern Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family, friends and his grandchildren were his greatest joy. He is survived by his wife of forty four years, Janet Lynn Dulin Roberts; his son, Ronald Gene Roberts II of Parkersburg; his daughter, Teresa Michelle Moore of Davisville; two brothers, Jerry Roberts (Shirley) of Paden City, WV and Steven Roberts (Anna) of Long Bottom, OH; and grandchildren, Zachary, Gage, Josilin and Elijah Moore, Austin Patterson and Jordan Lee. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his five sibilings, Willis Roberts, Bryce Roberts, Lelah Lawson, Arlene Byrd and Carol (Valentine) Goldsboro; and his son in-law, Dennis Raymond Moore II. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Paul Drake and Pastor Don Yeager officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
