Ronald Louis Lowers, 86, of Davisville, WV, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg. He was born May 16, 1933 in Parkersburg, the son of the late Joseph W. and Mildred C. Hoy Lowers. Ronald was in the U.S. Navy in the Atlantic Ocean, from June of 1951 until June of 1955. He retired from E.I. DuPont as an operator after 35 years of service. Ronald was a Jr. Order of the United American Mechanics, Rockport Council #106. He attended Kanawha United Methodist Church. He is survived by his two daughters, Janis L. Boyer (James) of Vienna and Diana L. Hovey (Robert) of Buford, GA; three sons, Steven R. Lowers of Marietta, Michael L. Lowers of Walker and Mark W. Lowers (Lori) of Parkersburg; one brother, Joseph Lowers (Norma) of Belpre; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Donna Linger. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna E. Johnson Lowers and one brother, Denzil W. Lowers. The family extends a special thanks to Brad Lowers and Allie Stanley for their many overnights during his hospital stay. Funeral services for Ronald will be held 1 pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Rick Haught and Pastor John Reinhart officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Evergreen North Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
