Ronald E. Knicely

August 17, 1940 — October 16, 2024

Ronald E Knicely, Sr., “The Bear” went home to be with the Lord October 16, 2024 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital. Ron was a son of the late Howard V. Knicely, Sr. and Edith Helen McClanathan.

Ron was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and a member of the Boy Scouts of America until he was 17. He retired as a Local 787 Union Ironworker in 2002, after 35 Years.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary (Susie) Thompson Knicely; six sons whom he dearly loved, Bill (Casey) of Parkersburg, Tom (Cissy) of Florida, Mike (Marie) of Parkersburg, Ron Jr. (Vicki) of Elizabeth, Dan (Tammy) of Parkersburg, Jeff (Amy) of Parkersburg; one brother, Howard V. Knicely, Jr. (Sue) of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Services for Ron will be held at 7PM, Monday, October 21, 2024 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home of South Parkersburg with Pastor Brad Puckett officiating. Visitation will be from 4PM-7 PM prior to service.
