Ronald William Heath,

Ronald William Heath, Sr., 82, of Hockingport, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital of Columbus, Ohio. He was born July 21, 1936, a son of the late John William and Juanita Eva Ratliff Heath. Ron was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a machinist and retired from Piecheny Rolled Products and work part time with Parkersburg Utility Board. An avid outdoorsman, he was a trap shooter and enjoyed walleye and trout fishing. Ron was a member of the Moose Lodge 1118 of Parkersburg. He is survived by his wife, Dixie Heath; six children, Ronald Heath, Jr. (Kim), Tammy Roughton, Pamela Schnell (Terry Drennen), Teresa Ridgeway (Charles), John Heath (Carolyn), and Donald Heath (Heather); three step-children, Denzil Metz, Jackie Callahan and William Metz (Edee); two brothers, Donald and Richard Heath; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Laurie Lee. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor John Herdman officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens of Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
