Ronald E. Harvey

August 31, 1955 — March 13, 2024

Ronald Eugene Harvey, 68, of Parkersburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
He was born August 31, 1955, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Ray E. Harvey and Ruth E. Harvey. Ron enjoyed playing baseball at 2nd base all his youth, earning the nickname “Yogi” after professional baseball player Yogi Berra. He was a 1973 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a 1978 graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Business Management. Ron was a die-hard West Virginia Mountaineers fan all his life and was dedicated to cheering them on in sports. He worked for Murray Sheet Metal but had been enjoying gardening, golfing, and fishing in retirement for many years.
Ron is survived by his three daughters, Kelly D. Hicks (Theo) of Bunnlevel, NC, Courtney L. Sheff (Adam) of Coolville, OH and Katie C. Weaver (Aaron) of Williamstown, WV; his three grandchildren, Zavion Hicks, Lorelai Weaver and Emersyn Weaver; as well as his brother, Ray E. Harvey, Jr. (Charlene) of Woodstock, GA. Ron was proud of his children and grandchildren, he loved his family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them.
At Ron’s request there will be no services. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to serve the Harvey family.
