Roger Lee Vaughn

Roger Lee Vaughn, 69, of Parkersburg, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born February 17, 1951, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Gene Tibbs and Evelyn Fitzgerald Vaughn. Roger was a 1970 graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a member of the 1970 state champion basketball team. He retired from G.E. Plastics/SABIC where he worked from 1973 till 2015. He was an avid dart player and played semi pro basketball for the Harlem All Stars. Roger had a friendly smile and never met a stranger. He is survived by his three daughters, LaNeica (Andrew) Pickens, Leah Raye Kyer and Shannon Vaughn; his son, Roger Lee Vaughn II; sister, JoAnn; brothers, Michael and Brian; fourteen grandchildren; and special friends, Wendy Uppole, Tim Stevens and Joe Mason. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by several siblings. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
