Roger N. Longfellow, 55, of Parkersburg, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019. He was born November 16, 1963 in Roane County, West Virginia, a son of Edna Criss Ward of Elizabeth, West Virginia, and the late Hubert “Pete” Longfellow. Roger was a graduate of Wirt County High School and currently worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways operating heavy equipment. He was a former regional manager for AmeriGas and former program coordinator for Community Resources. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR, riding ATVs and hunting. Roger had a genuine concern for people and enjoyed visiting with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Carroll Longfellow; one daughter, Mary Frances Roe of Parkersburg; two step-sons, Spencer Shepard of Parkersburg and Sawyer Shepard of New Martinsville; one sister, Mary Somerville of Parkersburg; two brothers, Wayne Longfellow (Youlonda) of Sandyville and John Longfellow (Bonnie) of Parkersburg; his mother and father-in-law Wilma and Jeff Jarrell of Wileyville, West Virginia; one grandson, Jackson Roe; and two half sisters, Terry Ann Radcliff of Elizabeth and Monsa Sue Branter of Akron, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, South Parkersburg with his brother, John Longfellow officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Grove Cemetery II in Wirt County. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hill Grove Cemetery II envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
