Roger Lee Wright

A Memorial Video to Roger is now available on this site. Roger Lee Wright Jr., 41, of Parkersburg, passed away on March 30, 2016 at his residence. He was born September 11, 1974, in Princeton, WV, a son of Roger Lee Wright Sr. and Reba Pennington Wright of Athens, WV. Roger was self-employed carpenter and owned his own business, Wright-Way Construction. He enjoyed spending time with his children, Roger III and Megan, and loved hunting and dirt biking with Roger III. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife and best friend of 21 years, Sarah Farley Wright; one daughter, Megan Wright, of the home; one son, Roger Lee Wright III, of the home; mother-in-law, Thanna Farley of Parkersburg; one brother, Shane (Birttania) Wright of Senoia, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ruth and Arthur Pennington; paternal grandparents, Wilbur and Mary Wright; father-in-law, Elder Keith Farley; and two aunts, Betty Belcher and Rita Walker. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 4, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., South Parkersburg with Pastor Ralph Calfee and Eric Porterfield officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until time of services on Monday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, at Harper Hill Cemetery, off Old St. Marys Pike in Parkersburg.
