Roger L. Jones

Roger L. Jones, 73, of Parkersburg, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 12, 1944, in Pennsboro, WV, a son of the late Gale and Mary G. Wells Jones. Roger graduated from St. Mary’s High School and was retired from the Wood County Board of Education as a school bus operator. He is survived by his wife, Cora Hoschar Jones; three daughters, Teresa Schaffer, Cindy Kelbaugh and Crystal Jones all of Parkersburg; one son, Roger Jones II (Hope) of Parkersburg; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Audrey Morrison (Don) of Mineral Wells; and one brother, Phillip Jones (Carole) of Walker, WV. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by one sister, Dianne Law and one brother, Gary Jones. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Rick Haught officiating.
