Roger Hart

Roger Dale Hart, 68, of Waverly, WV, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at his residence. He was born July 29, 1956 in Sandyville, WV a son of Edsel Hart of Coolville, OH and the late Bernice Riggs Hart.
Roger graduated from Federal Hocking High School and attended meat cutter trade school in Toledo, Ohio. He worked as a meat cutter for Wilson’s Market and Ralph’s Market in Parkersburg. He also worked for the public utility board for the city of Parkersburg. He attended Herndon Chapel and various other churches in the area. Roger was an avid sportsman who enjoyed watching and attending all sports, especially WVU.
In addition to his father Roger is survived by one son, Dan Hart (Sarah) of Waverly; a granddaughter, Skylar Hart and a grandson, Ty Hart, also of Waverly; one sister, Martha Spurbeck (Kevin) of Pataskala; two brothers, Gary Hart (Penny) and Eddie Hart (Trina) both of Coolville; a special Aunt, Sharon Chambers of Mineral Wells and his constant companion, his dog Joey.
In addition to his mother, Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Hart; one sister, Darlene Hart; two brothers, Terry and Ricky Hart and a special uncle, Dave Chambers.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, August 19, 2024 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St. Parkersburg. Burial will follow at Skidmore Cemetery beside his loving wife. Visitation will be Monday, 1:00 until time of service.
