Rodney Dale McIntyre, 47, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away February 25, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born July 17, 1969 in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of the late Kenneth and Carolyn Jobes McIntyre. Rodney graduated from Parkersburg South High School with the class of 1987. He formerly worked for Winans Services, Ferrell Gas as a propane driver, and Jackson Hydro-Blast. He loved to fish. He is survived by his wife, Donna McMurray McIntyre; daughter, Cara McIntyre of the home, and her fiancé Ben Houghton of Mineral Wells; his in-laws, Ruth and John Sturm and Bill and Becky McMurray; aunt, Twila Jobes, and an uncle, Don Jobes (Diana); and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Goldie and Raynold Jobes; his paternal grandparents, H. K. and Dorothy McIntyre; his step-grandmother, Dorothella McIntyre; and an aunt Lois Chaney. Funeral services for Rodney will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, South Parkersburg, with Pastor Vera Archer officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
