Roberta F. Hitt, 82, of Parkersburg, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior and to be reunited with the love of her life Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born January 13, 1936, in Orwell, OH, a daughter of the late Thomas and Amy Wrisley Frissell. Roberta was a homemaker who enjoyed being with her family and loved being “Grandi” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a Christian by faith. Roberta was an avid reader who wrote and had several manuscripts published. She was the author of the book: What Does Your Name Mean? Roberta enjoyed working on ancestry and genealogy. She also enjoyed attending her widow’s fellowship group “The Overcomers”. Roberta is survived by her children, Jo Parker and Jeff (Bev) Hitt both of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Andrea (John) Parsons, Jenny (Don) Hickman and Lance (Cassi) Hitt; four great-grandchildren, Trent and Bryce Parsons and Harvey and Holly Hickman; and her beloved dog, “Katie”. In addition to her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, John Hitt and her son in-law, Richard Parker. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor David Carrico officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
