Date and Time of Service: Tues., Sept. 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. – Greenposted 9/11/2010 at 11:20:31 AMRoberta Lynn Clark, 74, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away Sept. 10, 2010, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital after a hard fought battle with cancer.She was born June 3, 1936, at Red Hill, Wood County, W.Va., the child of Earl and Lucille McPherson.She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School with the class of 1954 and was a Licensed Practical Nurse and did home health nursing. Roberta loved working in the kitchen at the Dutch Ridge Auction Barn, and being with all the many friends she made there during the 25 years her and husband, Carl, operated it. She worked as a member of the Wood County Grange raising funds for various projects, loved making apple butter, a fall tradition with the Grange. Roberta also enjoyed helping with the annual Volcano Days Picnic. She attended Red Hill Methodist Church.She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Carl Clark; one daughter, Robin St Andry (Tim) of Parkersburg; two sons, Ronald Clark (Anne) of Waverly, W.Va., and Richard Clark of Parkersburg; and five grandchildren, Trevor and Victoria Clark of Waverly, and Trinity, Brandon and Ryan McClung of Parkersburg.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Randall B. Clark.Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St., Parkersburg with Rev. Mary Zimmer officiating. Interment will follow at Red Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 13 at the funeral home.The family would like to thank Doctors, Heather Straight, Darcy Conner and Catherine Adkins and the nurse and doctors of Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, for all their loving care and also extend thanks to all of the friends and neighbors for the cards and prayers.
