Robert K. Spindle, 67, of Vienna, WV, formerly of Newark and Zanesville, OH, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020, at his residence. He was born December 11, 1952 in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Roy Eugene and Helen Rebecca Huffman Spindle. Robert grew up in Parkersburg and attended First Lutheran Church of Parkersburg with his family. He was a member of the Army National Guard. He trained to become a Cardiac Sonographer at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Parkersburg. He went on to work at Mt. Carmel East Hospital while living in Newark, OH and moved to Zanesville, OH, where he continued working at Genesis Hospital prior to his retirement. His profession as a Cardiac Sonographer was his life and passion. He was a mentor to many young people and truly had compassion for those he served. He is survived by his son, Jeremy Spindle (Amy) of Vienna; four grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Darion, and Vienna; one brother, David Spindle (Anette) of Alabama and his second family whom he loved at Genesis in Zanesville for the support given to him during his courageous battle with cancer. The family wishes to extend their love and gratitude to Genesis in Zanesville, for the love and support given to Robert who they affectionately called “Pops”. Per Robert’s request there will be no visitation or services. He donated his body to the Human Gift Registry at West Virginia University in Morgantown. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home of Vienna, is honored to serve the Spindle family.
