Robert L. Schofield

Robert L. “Bob” Schofield, age 73, of Mineral Wells, WV, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 14, 1944 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Elmer N. and Grace Hannahman Schofield. Bob was a US Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He was a skilled carpenter working for Bob Bennett Homes and worked for MIE Industries in Marietta. Bob loved woodworking, camping, going to church, spending time with his family and his greatest joy was his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Hupp Schofield; his two sons, Dana Schofield (Donna Westfall) of Parkersburg and Leon Schofield (Jessica) of Mineral Wells; two brothers, Clifford Schofield of Canton, OH and Jerry Hershman of Massachusetts; two sisters, Naomi Deems of Marietta and Norma Jean McGee of Canton; three grandchildren, Bryttani, Dakotah, and Mercedez; and one great-granddaughter, Presleigh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Schofield, David and Michael Hershman; and two sisters, Carlotta White and Alice Baxter. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Gospel Tabernacle Church, Parkersburg with Pastor Wayne Boone officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen South Cemetery with full Military Rites by American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Monday at the church. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
