Robert Wayne Powell

Robert Wayne Powell, 55, of Mineral Wells, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 24, 1962, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Roy Powell and Mary Ward Gregg. Robert was a graduate of Warren High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed hunting and time spent in the woods. Robert enjoyed his cats and spending time with his wife, family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Julie Pettit Powell; two brothers, Greg Powell (Diana) of Florida and Mike Powell (Sandra) of Mineral Wells; his father in-law, Robert Pettit of Belpre, OH; his brother and sister in-laws, Rick Pettit (Spring) of Lowell, OH. and Diane Orndoff (Ron) of Elizabethtown, PA; and several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Deidra Reese; and mother in-law, Bernadette Pettit. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Ron Laughery officiating and full military rites by the American Legion Post #15. Interment will follow at Barlow Cemetery, Barlow, Ohio. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.
