Robert G. Middleton

Robert G. Middleton, 86, of Parkersburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Parkersburg Care Center. He was born July 12, 1932, in Doddridge County, WV, a son of the late Harold B. and Mildred E. Wade Middleton. Robert was a U.S. Veteran in the Air Force where he served in the Korean Conflict. He worked at American Viscose until it’s closing in 1974 and worked as a supervisor at Gatewood Products. Robert enjoyed fox hunting, reading country western books and watching football. He was a former member of Butcher Bend Hunt Club. He is survived by his son, Bob Middleton (Sandy); daughter in-law, Terry Middleton; grandchildren, Missy Middleton, Sandy (Doug) Hart, Bill Middleton, Christi (Will) Walcutt, Josh (Kim) Middleton and Casey (Sarah) Middleton; sisters, Janet (Dan) Rymer and Gloria J. (William) McDonald; eleven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Luwella “BlairAnn”; infant son, George; son, James “Bunk”; brothers, Jack and Harold Middleton; and sister, Helen Ryan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Dave Cumpston officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm. on Friday at the funeral home.
