Robert Leroy Lane

Robert Leroy Lane, 88, of Williamstown, passed away May 27, 2025 at his residence. He was born November 25, 1936 in Spencer, a son of the late Chelsea and Reta Starcher Lane.

Robert served our country honorably in the U.S. Army and then he was a welder, working for Steam fitters local #420. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding horses, and cooking.

He is survived by his son, Michael Lane of Williamstown; grandson, Aaron Lane of Williamstown; a brother, Rick Lane of Cottageville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Hall Lane; two brothers, Jim and Jerry Lane; and a sister, June Lane.

In keeping with Robert’s final wishes, he will be cremated with no public services.
