Robert Link Kerns

Robert L. Kerns, 85 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Tuesday March 22, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center Memorial Campus. He was born August 23, 1925 in Ritchie County a son of the late Arthur C. and Zelma Michaels Kerns.Robert was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. He retired from the E.I. Dupont Company after over 30 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Lodge #3 AF&AM, and was a longtime member of the Parkview United Methodist Church. Robert was an avid golfer and a talented craftsman.He is survived by his wife, Edna Hannan Kerns; one daughter, Barbara Morris; one son, David Kerns (Anne) all of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two sisters, Loretta Gates of Belpre, Ohio, and Oleta Williams of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one brother, Dennis Kerns of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 26, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Rev. Kenneth Noland and Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
